NYC Nepali Lifestyle is a photo and video production company based in New York City, United States. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean NYC Nepali Lifestyle.

This policy covers nycnepalilifestyle.com and the information we handle when you enquire about, book, or take part in a shoot.

When you enquire. The booking form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the service you want, a preferred date, a location, and whatever you tell us about the project. Only your name and email are required.

When you contact us directly. Anything you send us by email, phone or social media, including the message itself.

When we work together. Details needed to deliver the project — venue addresses, schedules, contacts for your planner or venue, and the invoicing details we need to be paid.

Photographs and film. Images and recordings of you and of people at your event. These are personal information too, and they are covered separately below.

We do not ask for, and would rather you did not send us, government ID numbers, card numbers or bank details through the website.

At present the booking form does not send anything to a server of ours. Submitting it opens your own email application with the details filled in, and nothing is transmitted until you press send in that application. Your enquiry reaches us as an ordinary email.

If this changes — if we connect the form to a service that receives submissions directly — we will update this policy and say so here before it goes live.

To reply to your enquiry, quote for the work, agree dates, plan and carry out the shoot, deliver the finished photographs or film, invoice you, and keep the records a business is required to keep.

We use your information for those purposes and for showing our work, as described below. We do not sell it. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We will not add you to a mailing list because you enquired. If we ever start sending marketing email, it will be because you asked for it, and every message will let you stop it.

This matters more than anything else in this policy, so it is worth reading closely.

Delivering your work. We keep the photographs and footage from your shoot so we can edit, grade and deliver them, and so we can supply them again if you lose your copy.

Showing our work. We would like to show some of what we make — on this website, on social media, in pitches to future clients, and in competition or award entries. Whether we may do that with your images is your decision, and we will agree it with you in writing before the shoot. If you would rather nothing from your shoot was ever shown publicly, say so and that is the end of it. It does not change the price.

Changing your mind. If you have agreed to us showing your images and later change your mind, tell us and we will take them down from anything we control — this website and our own social accounts — within a reasonable period. We cannot claw back copies other people have already downloaded, reshared or printed, and we cannot remove them from a third party’s platform or from search engine caches.

Guests at your event. At weddings, ceremonies and public events we film and photograph the people who are there. If a guest does not want to appear, the simplest thing is to tell us on the day and we will do our best to avoid them and to leave them out of anything we publish. A guest can also contact us afterwards using the address at the bottom of this page.

Copyright. Copyright in the photographs and film stays with us unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. What you may do with your images is set out in your project agreement, not here.

Our hosting provider. This site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, including visitors’ IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Google Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google’s font service. Your browser requests those files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address when you load a page here. We do not send Google anything else about you and we have no analytics on this site.

Our own tools. Email, cloud storage and file delivery services we use to run the studio and hand over your finished work.

Video platforms. Where we publish film, we host it on Vimeo or a similar platform rather than on this site.

When we are required to. If the law obliges us to disclose something, we will.

Some of these providers are based in the United States and elsewhere, so your information may be stored or processed outside the country you live in.

This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no tracking script. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Enquiries that do not become bookings. Roughly two years, in case you come back to us, then deleted.

Project records and invoices. For as long as tax and accounting rules require us to keep them.

Photographs and footage. Finished work we keep in our archive indefinitely, so we can supply it again years later. Raw, unused footage is cleared out sooner. If you want your material removed from our archive, ask and we will discuss what is possible.

You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, or stop using it in a particular way — including withdrawing permission to show your images publicly.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the EU and UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We will honour those rights whether or not we are strictly obliged to.

Write to Managementsun@nycnepalilifestyle.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you and we will not treat you differently for asking.

We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, and we limit access to the people working on your project. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.

This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from a child through it. We do photograph children at weddings, family shoots and community events — always with a parent or guardian present and with their agreement. If you believe a child’s information has reached us in a way it should not have, contact us and we will remove it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change matters — new analytics, a new way of collecting information — we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the text.
